Rep[air]: Planting the seeds of clean air

According to the World Health Organization, air pollution kills an estimated seven million people worldwide each year.

Rep[air] is an initiative I developed for my Master’s capstone that seeks to raise awareness about the impacts of pollution on public health in Philadelphia and offer solutions that mitigate the effects of poor air quality. This project leverages the built environment and digital spaces to engage the public in conversation about the impact of air pollution. It also equips Philadelphia residents with tools — including native trees, green spaces, window air filters, and a mobile app — that allow them to act as citizen scientists and be a part of the solution in moving the city toward a future with clean air.
