Addressing the Opioid Crisis through harm reduction

The opioid epidemic is one of the most pressing public health challenges of our time, and Harm Reduction offers evidence-based tactics for reducing opioid overdoses and deaths. For this project, my cohort in Jefferson’s Health Communication Design Program collaborated with the Camden Coalition and Prevention Point Philadelphia to develop communication tools that challenge preconceived judgments about people who use drugs and increases awareness about harm reduction services such as medication-assisted treatment.
